Grammy-winning Nigerian singer-songwriter Tems is stepping into her power in a whole new way this time, off the stage and behind the scenes. The alt-R&B star has officially launched The Leading Vibe Initiative (@leadingvibeinitiative), a groundbreaking platform dedicated to equipping young women across Africa with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to thrive in the music industry.

Set to kick off in August 2025, the Leading Vibe Initiative will debut in Nigeria before expanding across the continent — and eventually, the world. It’s an ambitious, forward-thinking move from an artist who’s long been a symbol of creative autonomy and quiet power. With Native Instruments on board as a tech partner, the initiative will offer hands-on access to professional tools, studio environments, and expert guidance. The program will feature: Songwriting and music production workshops, Studio sessions with top-tier engineers and producers, Panel discussions with industry execs and creatives, Tutorials on the music business and Networking mixers and mentorship opportunities

The goal? To nurture the next generation of female producers, engineers, executives, and artists not just as performers, but as decision-makers and cultural architects. Tems has long used her platform to highlight authenticity, vulnerability, and the power of self-expression, and the Leading Vibe Initiative is a natural extension of that ethos. In an industry still dominated by men, her new mission is clear: shift the narrative, and lead the vibe.
